Ed Demaria, founder of Ed Words LLC, is known for preparing sharp questions and well-researched outlines that help interviewers have thoughtful and newsmaking conversations. He strives to translate complex information into a digestible product building on his years of experience.
Prior to starting Ed Words LLC, Ed spent more than a decade at NBC News as a producer for the Meet the Press family of shows. On a daily basis, Ed supplied anchors with questions and supporting information for interviews with newsmakers, politicians, and experts. He also gave guidance for the content of presidential debates and one-on-one conversations with top political candidates.
At NBC News, Ed was a key part of breaking news and election night coverage, gathering data and facts in real time to support live broadcasts. He synthesized exit poll data and developed on-air hits at the Big Board for NBC News' Emmy-nominated election night broadcasts. Ed received an RTDNA Edward R. Murrow award for his contributions to MSNBC's coverage of the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Ed holds a B.S. from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where he majored in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. He was recognized with the William C. Fyffe Award for Broadcast Journalism—awarded by Medill faculty to the one student who most exemplifies "professional competency in, and dedication to, the mission of broadcast journalism." While Ed maintains ties to the D.C. area, he resides with his wife and daughter in Denver's South Park Hill neighborhood.
Ed founded Ed Words LLC to aid emerging media outlets, independent journalists, and news-making summits with their important interviews, using his expertise to level up their conversations.
